Faculty Senate

The mission of the Faculty Senate of Texas A&M University-San Antonio is to foster a community of mutual respect and cooperation within the University by facilitating effective faculty participation in academic governance by providing a means by which faculty may communicate their views in matters of concern to the university. The Faculty Senate provides an organization through which the expertise, experience, and skills of faculty may be engaged in the development of the university. The Faculty Senate is dedicated to the support of the mission and values of Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The Faculty Senate works to ensure that faculty is provided with the resources and academic freedom necessary to provide innovative and challenging programs of high economic and social value for our students, community, and region. Recommendations of the Faculty Senate are communicated to the President and the Provost of the University.

A&M-San Antonio Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is a 9-month program designed to explore leadership topics and enhance existing skills with the goal of creating a solid foundation for higher education leaders. This program is designed to maximize learning and is conducted via presentation of theory/topic, classroom discussion and activities designed to reinforce learning principles.

Student Organizations

Texas A&M University-San Antonio values student development both inside and outside of the classroom.  The Office of Student Involvement focuses on the students' total educational experience, including activities, events, student organizations, university-sponsored groups (Student Government Association, Campus Activities Board, Jaguar Ambassador Program), lectures, live performances, special events, and more.  Professional and student staff provides guidance and leadership training for students to assist them in achieving their academic and personal goals.  Our goal is to get all students involved and engaged on campus.  Learn more about what we offer by checking out our website, JagSync or by stopping by the office.
