AlcoholEDU Frequently Asked Questions

This course is MANDATORY for all incoming A&M-San Antonio students who are in their first semester of attendance and are under the age of 21 starting on the first day of class.

AlcoholEDU is a two- part online course that uses science based evidence used to:

1) Detail risks that may occur while a student is drinking;
2) To encourage students to use safer decisions where alcohol is involved;
3)  To help students prepare to respond and intervene to risky situations and,
4) To help students reach their academic and personal goals.

This course does not require the student to abstain from drinking, but rather encourages students to learn about the effects alcohol may have and to make an educated choice if they decide to drink themselves.

The course is divided into two (2) parts and is completely free to all students and can be done at your own time and your own pace. If a student does not complete Part 1 or Part 2 by the deadline, a registration hold will be placed on their account.

Part 1 consists of the following:

-Pre-Assessment and Survey 1
-Learning Modules
