The Mesquite News is the daily digital newspaper of record for Texas A&M University-San Antonio, covering news and events impacting A&M-San Antonio students since 2011. The Mesquite publishes daily at mesquite-news.com The Mesquite is a designated public forum, giving students a platform for their voice to inform and impact the student body. Student editors and managers have the authority to make all content decisions without censorship or advance approval. Students holding leadership positions maintain a 3.0 GPA and receive a student worker stipend, renewable for up to three semesters.

El Espejo Magazine
El Espejo magazine was established in 2018 as a student-run annual magazine published each spring. The publication offers students leadership and production positions in editorial, photography, design, advertising and social media. Focused on the untold stories of San Antonio, themes evolve annually at the direction of the editorial staff to meet the needs of a changing student audience. The staff engages students throughout the year in campus life and conversations to generate new themes and content. All content is student produced. Enlace Media Lab operates as a student-run digital media studio, where college broadcasters produce original audiovisual content and support students and campus organizations seeking broadcast and multimedia production guidance while rigorously exercising journalistic practices and their First Amendment rights.
The primary focus of Enlace Media Lab is preparing students for a professional career in broadcast and multimedia production in news, public relations and a myriad of roles in communications aligned with current and future industry trends in the San Antonio, Texas area — some that might not even exist today.
