Assistive technology (AT) is any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities. Not all AT is high-tech! Assistive technology can be as simple as corrective lenses or pencil grips and as high-tech as screen readers and voice dictation programs
