Consultation for Students of Concern

Student Counseling Center staff provide consultative services to third parties (including but not limited to A&M-SA faculty/staff, family members, friends, etc.) for individuals concerned about the well-being of a currently enrolled A&M–San Antonio student. During these interactions, Student Counseling Center (SCC) staff are unable to confirm and/or deny whether or not a student is engaged in SCC services unless a signed Release of Information is on file.

Suppose you would like to speak to a mental health clinician directly. In that case, you may call (210) 784-1331 (Available 24/7; please select option “2” for after-hours support) and identify yourself as someone concerned about a student and your relation to that student, such as a parent, family member, staff, faculty, or friend.

It may also be helpful for you to know that the Student Counseling Center offers Crisis/Emergency appointments to students experiencing concerns about their safety or who have experienced a recent traumatic event.
