Your Jaguar Royal Court 2023

The Jaguar Royalty program recognizes students who embody the Spirit of the Jaguar while striving for the highest academic achievement, campus involvement, and community service. They demonstrate the A&M-SA values in their daily actions and serve as ambassadors to the University at various A&M-SA-sponsored events throughout the year.
Members of the A&M-San Antonio Royal Court hold very prestigious positions. As ambassadors and stewards of Texas A&M University-San Antonio, the Royal Court represents the University at various events throughout the year, including Fiesta.
The Royal Court is well-rounded, exhibits leadership skills, and works well in a team setting. As an elected representative of the University, the position of the Royal Court comes with high esteem and responsibility. Therefore, we expect the Royal Court to be a positive voice and professional representative for the University.

Class Royalty creates a sense of class pride and is a part of Texas A&M University-San Antonio Royal Court. The full Jaguar Royal Court includes A&M- SA Royals, Senior Class Royal(s), Junior Class Royal(s), Sophomore Class Royal(s), and Freshman Class Royal(s).

Senior Class Royal(s)

Maintain a 2.5 Undergraduate GPA
Must have completed 90 or more credit hours
Completed 12 credit hours at A&M-SA
Commit to a one-year term from the last programming day before reading days (May) through the last programming day (May)
- Must be classified as a Senior during this one-year term
Enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate hours and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Will be required to adhere to the dress code outlined for event appearances.

Junior Class Royal(s)

Maintain a 2.5 Undergraduate GPA
Must have completed 60 to 89 credit hours
Completed 12 credit hours at A&M-SA.
Commit to a one-year term from the last programming day before reading days (May) through the last programming day (May)
- Must be classified as a Junior during this one-year term
Enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate hours and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Will be required to adhere to the dress code outlined for event appearances.

Sophomore Class Royal(s)

Maintain a 2.5 Undergraduate GPA
Must have completed 30 to 59 credit hours
Completed 12 credit hours at A&M-SA
Commit to a one-year term from the last programming day before reading days (May) through the last programming day (May)
- Must be classified as a Sophomore during this one-year term
Enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate hours and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Will be required to adhere to the dress code outlined for event appearances.

Freshmen Class Royal(s)

Maintain a 2.5 Undergraduate GPA
Must have completed 0 to 29 credit hours
Commit to a one-year term from the Fall to Spring semester
- Must be classified as a Freshmen during this one-year term
Enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate hours and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Will be required to adhere to the dress code outlined for event appearances.

Class Royals Selection Process:

Submit the Application with a Resume, Headshot, and Video Essay
The Student Life department checks grades & conduct
Candidates will meet with the Student Life department to go over the next steps, interview process, and campaigning procedures (in-person, virtual, and/or email)
Campaigning for two (2) weeks
Voting takes place for three days
