The Military Affairs Office at A&M San Antonio hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating a partnership with the Bexar County Department of Military and Veterans Services on January 31, 2024.

This celebration opened the support for veterans in Patriots’ Casa. The Veterans Service Officer (VSO) now has a dedicated space at A&M-SA. Veterans will now have direct access to expert guidance and resources on filing health claims and navigating VA benefits, connections to services that assist in transitioning to civilian life, and connections with mental health and wellness support.

This partnership is an exciting opportunity for the campus because the satellite office brings these services to our veteran students and the South Side community.

The Military Affairs Office commented that serving the veteran and military-connected community is an honor and they continue to implement new ways to do that.
