Texas A&M University-San Antonio hosted its 3rd annual Trunk-or-Treat Friday, October 26. This event was open to the public, where they could do crafts, have photo opportunities, participate in a costume contest, get free candy, and enjoy food while watching Halloweentown.

The event had over 2,000 guests attend and over 42 trunks hosted by various campus departments, student organizations, and community partners. The purpose of a trunk-or-treat at our campus is to allow different offices and student organizations to engage with the community and each other safely and festively. Students can bring their families and dress in costumes while going around to the different trunks getting candy, snacks, balloon art, and even doing crafts.

Many SSE departments showed off their crafting spirit during this event. President’s Leadership Class participated in Trunk-o-Treat for the first time this year with their spooky-theme trunk. Military Affairs won Judge’s Choice with their Nightmare Before Christmas-theme car.  Early in the day, the Student Counseling Center entered the Staff Counsiles costume competition and placed first!
