Student Counseling Center: Who Moved My Happy?

During National Suicide Awareness month, The Student Counseling Center (SCC), in collaboration with the Student Involvement Office, welcomes Erika J. Kendrick, a Suicide Survivor, to A&M-SA to deliver a suicide prevention keynote on September 13th.

Monday, September 13th, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM in the auditorium, listen to best-selling author, national speaker, and mental fitness advocate Erika Kendrick, who will be sharing her suicide survivor story with our campus community.

Her keynote will focus on four main points:

  1. Key strategies to navigate negative thoughts and emotions
  2. Early warning signs and symptoms of mental illness
  3. What you can do when you think a loved one is suffering from a mental illness
  4. Strategies to use when supporting and talking with loved ones

SCC offers several services to students, including (but not limited to) Suicide Prevention Training, Victim Support Services, Group Counseling, Gender Identity | LGBTQ+ Concerns, Alcohol and Other Drug Concerns, and Short-term Mental Health Services.
