Every year students, faculty, staff, and families gather to celebrate Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s outstanding student leaders! There were five new awards his year, some designed to recognize students and organizations that adapted and excelled during the virtual learning college year. 

The Jaguar Awards recognizes leadership and involvement in the A&M-SA community. Hosted by the Office of Student Involvement, the ceremony had awards given by different departments, including Recreational Sports, Transfer Student Engagement, and the Mays Center for Experiential Learning & Community Engagement. 

This year, the Jag Awards guest speaker was Jordan Foster, a multimedia journalist for KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas, and Prairie View A&M University alum. The red carpet-style event was an excellent way to kick off our “new normal.” Everyone dressed to impress, and they took advantage of the many award show-style photo opportunities. Attendees laughed, hugged, cheered, and celebrated together.
