All sessions will be held in-person at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Details on location will be sent on the reminder email.
Eligibility Requirements
- First-year students who have been admitted to the University for the Fall 2022 semester and do not have TSI scores (Math, Reading/Writing) on file.
- Students who need to submit scores and/take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment should complete this program in order to be cleared to sign-up for New Student Orientation and register for classes.
On the first day of Jaguar JumpSTART, you will get a refresher on the subjects of the TSI assessment and you’ll get to take the TSI assessment on-campus. Then, on the second day, you’ll get to attend New Student Orientation and register for classes for the Fall 2022 semester!
Complete your Fall 2022 enrollment in 48 hours! Simply sign-up and attend to complete the TSI assessment. Then you’ll automatically get a spot in to New Student Orientation (NSO) the following day where you’ll register for classes.
Attendance is first-come, first-serve.

Unfortunately, the Jaguar JumpSTART program is only for new, incoming first-year students. Call the Welcome Center at 210-784-1300 or email BeAJaguar@tamusa.edu with any questions.
Jaguar JumpSTART is an in-person program.
This program is provided FREE for incoming first-year students who plan to enroll for the Fall 2022 semester.
Once you have signed-up, lookout for more information via email. You'll need to complete a pre-assignment before your session. If you have questions, you can always call the Welcome Center at 210-784-1300 or email us at BeAJaguar@tamusa.edu .
No, once you sign-up for Jaguar JumpSTART, you will automatically be enrolled in the New Student Orientation for the following date of the JumpSTART session you chose.
