Director

Dr. Erica Villarreal:

A native of Rio Grande City, TX, I have worked in an educational setting for over 15 years. My contributions and service to the field of education started as a classroom teacher in the middle school setting.  This experience served as momentum that fueled my passion for education and aspirations to make a difference at a broader level thereby spearheading my career in higher education.

I hold a Bachelors in Applied Technology from South Texas College, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University.

It is my privilege to serve TAMUSA students in the capacity of Director of the Educator CAFÉ and the Educator Preparation Program.
