Kathryn Funk-Baxter serves as the Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this appointment, she served as Vice President for Business Affairs at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Having served public higher education institutions for over 25 years, she brings a deep understand of financial, budget and administrative operations to her current role.  As Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, she will oversee a broad range of business and campus development initiatives in addition to departments responsible for technology, campus safety, business operations, financial operations, Title IX, human resources, regional development partnerships and compliance.

Kathryn Funk-Baxter is a certified public accountant. She received her BBA from Southwest Texas State University and her MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) 2019 Distinguished Service Award recipient.  She also volunteers in various community activities through her Rotary Club.
