Local news magazine recognizes potential of Patriots' Casa

Slated to open in summer 2014, the Patriots' Casa will be the nation's first stand-alone building solely dedicated to supporting the University's military student community through their transition to the civilian workforce. The Rivard Report showcases how the building is specially designed to be a flexible, inclusive learning space that will promote re-integration and successful academic career for the University's military community. The feature comes on the heels of Texas A&M-San Antonio being named in the top 120 "Best Colleges for Vets" by Military Times EDGE.

San Antonio College's The Ranger reports on these growing opportunities.

HOLT CAT® helps make dreams reality

On Wednesday, November 13, Peter Holt, CEO of HOLT CAT and chairman, CEO and owner of Spurs Sports & Entertainment presented the Texas A&M San Antonio Foundation with a gift of $500,000 for student scholarships. The award is the largest donation to the foundation since the University achieved stand-alone status in 2009.

"It is such an inspiration that the family behind two of San Antonio's greatest industries, HOLT CAT® and Spurs Sports and Entertainment, takes the time to make a difference in the lives of our students," said president Dr. Maria Hernandez Ferrier.
