Testing Center - TSI Assessment
The TSI Assessment is offered Monday-Friday by appointment at 8:30 a.m. and certain Saturdays by appointment at 8:30 a.m., please call to verify Saturday dates. Walk-ins are normally offered Monday-Friday starting at 10:00 am and accepted up to 2 hours before close. Please contact the Testing Center for verify the current daily walk-in hours.
Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis, as space becomes available. Testing candidates must have already completed the Pre-Assessment Activity. Candidates will need to register for the Practice App and complete the PAA. Upon completion, a certificate will be provide. This certificate of completion will need to be emailed directly to the Testing Center at Testing.Center@tamusa.edu.
The cost of the TSI Assessment for admitted Texas A&M-San Antonio students is $18.00 per section or $35.00 for all sections. Admitted Texas A&M-San Antonio students outside the local San Antonio area or wish to take their exam at another center or at home can request Remote TSI Voucher. The cost is $15.00 for 2 sections or $10.00 for 1 section.
The A&M-SA Testing Center is an open TSI Testing Center. Those students from other institutions will be required to have their home school issue a remote TSI voucher assigned to Texas A&M University-San Antonio and schedule an appointment under "TSI & Accuplacer with Voucher."
Scheduling
Exam Candidates will need to first decide if they would like to take the TSI Assessment in-person at the Texas A&M-San Antonio Testing Center or remotely using an exam voucher. Remote options include taking the TSI at home using an online proctor or taking the TSI at another Testing Center. Please contact the Testing Center for a list of testing sites in your local area.
- Complete the Pre-Assessment Activity (please select Texas A&M-San Antonio). Candidates will need to register for the Practice App and complete the PAA. Upon completion, a certificate will be provide. This certificate of completion will need to be either printed and brought to the Testing Center or it can be emailed directly to the Testing Center at Testing.Center@tamusa.edu.
- Register and pay for your exam online.
On the day of your exam bring your Pre-Assessment Activity Certificate and a valid government or state issued picture ID. Those that are testing remotely will also need to have a printed copy of their voucher. Please remember that vouchers are a one time use only.
