Welcome to the Master of Science in Computer Science program (MSCS) at the Texas A&M University - San Antonio. The program is designed to prepare graduate students with the necessary knowledge and skill components in current computer science, cyber security and information systems, as required by business, government, and academic research.

Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships

Teaching assistantships are funded by the department, and research assistantships are funded by individual faculty research grants. Out-of-state and international students who are funded for assistantships (at least half time) or those who are awarded a scholarship of $1,000 or more (competitive) are eligible for in-state tuition rates.

Students are selected for Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships by the Computing and Cyber Security Department based on students’ academic merit and prior research experience. Students should apply early to be considered for assistantships /scholarships. When students are considered for admission, they are also considered for Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships. There is no need to apply separately for assistantships/scholarships.
